Odd Nerdrum - The Murder of Andreas Baader.

The murder of Andreas Baader by Odd Nerdrum, the most emotional work of art I've ever experienced, even more now that I am trying to copy it. Not exactly, though. I start of, ever so nervously with the drawing - millimeter by millimeter. As the music of "Muse" takes momentum, I proceed on my own journey - an emotional rollercoaster of hatred & anger, sadness & fear, by mixing paints, trying to capture the same techniques by adding thick oil paint, re painting cursing and eventually having a nervous breakdown on the studio floor, showing no emotion. Will I ever get this done ? Lets see by the end of 2008. Maybe. I know I can. If he could do it, So can I...give me a few weeks.

Now you might ask, who on earth was Andreas Baader ? Why was he murdered? Why do you want to copy a painting of a murder scene ? Why ? Why ? Why ?

I did not know either. But I saw the painting, and did some research. I you can call "Googling" Andreas Baader. He was the brain, or shall we say, lack there of, of the Baader Meinhoff Gang in the 70's. He was a terrorist. And commited suicide in the end.

But the painting still depicts the emotion of 5 men, each differently. One, the victim is already dead. (Look at the skin colour - white&green) the others, are all dealing with the killing in their own way.
